How to Choose the Right ATV Oil
Your ATV oil type starts with engine design. Use a dedicated two-cycle oil for pre-mix or injector systems, such as AMSOIL DOMINATOR® 100% Synthetic 2-Stroke Racing Oil, AMSOIL Interceptor Synthetic High Performance 2-Cycle Oil, or AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Stroke Injector Oil. Use a dedicated four-stroke ATV/UTV motor oil for engines with a separate crankcase oil supply, including AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke® 0W-40 Power Sports Synthetic Motor Oil and the AMSOIL ATV/UTV motor oil viscosities listed below.
Match viscosity to your owner’s manual and operating conditions. Cold-weather starts can favor 0W-40 Formula 4-Stroke power sports oil. Common all-weather use may call for 5W-40. Higher-viscosity applications can require 5W-50 synthetic ATV/UTV motor oil for Polaris Ranger, RZR and Sportsman.
